Im thinking of researching on "should people learn a second language?"
The aim is do you think people should learn a second language? With today I think it's important as it increases chances of finding a job. There are also a lot of other reasons but I want to hear from the wider community ^__^
i agree with what you are saying. Do you think some languages are more important to learn than others? eg. Would you be more likely to get a job if your second language was Chinese,Japanese or Maori?
Well I'm not so sure about Chinese but it all depends on the person I guess. Some might prefer to study other languages. I was thinking people might be interested in Spanish as well since it's widely used in Latin America, Spain, Central America (Mexico, Puerto Rico). Learning a language like Spanish, Chinese etc... might help. For me I'm currently studying Japanese as a major and i speak fluent chinese and english.
This is a really interesting topic, and one of current interest. There are many advantages of learning a second and… language. I think it is also important to discuss WHEN, at what age, an additional language should be introduced to a person. In my opinion, it cannot be early enough.
